So i had a stab at a sequin pill box, it's not perfect but its fine for me to wear. I used blue felt to help give it shape (i ran out of black! Duh) but in the flesh you would barely notice it. Il definitely give it another go but perhaps use something black underneath and maybe experiment with glue.
Ps excuse my HORRIBLE hair, it's due a wash!

Robin hood inspired...
So i was asked to make a Robin Hood/1940's inspired pillbox hat. I had no idea where to start so though i would play it safe and stick to earth colours and raid the two boxes of pheasant feathers i still have from the last "butchering". I finished it all off with a large button to tie it all together and to hide the stems from the feathers.
Not a bad effort if i do say so myself.

My first listing!
So i have finally been able to put up my first listing on to Etsy and it is my Jackie O/Doctor Girlfriend (From The Venture Brothers, keep up?!) pink pillbox hat! I have made one for my good friend and burlesque performer Ally Katte so i look forward to seeing it in some shoots soon!
It's a real buzz making an item and knowing its good enough to sell, i hope this day marks a future in felt hat making!
Here are a few pictures of it;

Hello and welcome along!
Hi there and welcome to my first post on my new blog!
I've decided that as i am looking to start selling some of my home-made creations (pictures coming soon) that a blog would make a nice addition! I am mostly looking to update with inspiration, some of my fave recipes and fashion inspired musings with maybe a smattering of outfits from my own wardrobe i enjoy (i've been enjoying my fat girl blogs recently!).
I have been making a lot of pill box hats recently to sell in my Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/your/listings?show_panel=true so here is one i have made already to whet your appetite...
Pretty proud of this one and love the little bow detail. I am constantly looking for inspiration (but trying not to rip anyone off!), so far the hardest thing for me is working out how to apply peacock feathers to fabric with out the feathers getting damaged, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Well i have another 9 hats to make bases for so i had better get on, i hope to be hearing your comments soon!
